Tasks and Responsibilities
* Provide home care support/domestic assistance to participants with support needs including cleaning, cooking, and meal preparation.
* Personal care including getting them up, showering and dressing.
* Driving participants to medical appointments or taking them shopping for groceries/essentials.
* Assist participants in successfully coordinating their support needs and in achieving outcomes of their NDIS plan.
* Qualified support workers will be providing complex care and medication management where applicable.
Position Requirements
* Home Care Certificate and / or relevant work experience.
* Current Driver's License.
* Own a registered and fully insured vehicle that meets NDIS requirements (Optional).
* Meet Covid – 19 Vaccine requirements – Medical exemption acceptable or willingness to obtain.
* Relevant DHS/ NDIS checks and clearances in accordance with role requirements.
* A valid National Police Check/Certificate.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Previous support worker experience is desirable.
