The Job Role
You will be an experienced Project Engineer, who will work as part of our HY site based team. Your role will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project in accordance with commercial and quality outcomes, and to the highest safety standards. Your role will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the broader project team including external stakeholders (clients, consultants and subcontractors).
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning and delivery of project works in line with contractual, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Develop construction programs, schedules, and procurement strategies to meet project timelines.
* Monitor performance against KPIs across cost, schedule, and quality metrics.
* Manage technical clarifications, variations in collaboration with the Project Manager.
* Provide day‐to‐day leadership and mentoring to Project, Site, and Graduate Engineers, including performance reviews and development planning.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with HSEQ requirements, conduct risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture.
About You
You are a seasoned and solutions‐focused Project Engineer with a strong background in commercial construction. You excel in site environments and bring a collaborative, safety‐first approach to achieving successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil and Structural) or Construction Management
* Demonstrated experience in project delivery on large scale commercial projects
* Familiarity with WH&S, quality, and environmental management systems.
* Strong planning, scheduling, and resource coordination abilities.
* Excellent problem‐solving, decision‐making, and analytical skills.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
