Chandler Macleod is seeking expressions of interest for Meter Readers to join their team in the Warrnambool area.
No previous experience required – training will be provided.
Previous experience being on your feet in physical roles will be very beneficial.
The purpose of Meter Readers is to read electric, gas or water meters, record usage, inspect meters and connections for defects and damage, and report irregularities.

Responsibilities
1. Safely navigate properties to meter location, avoiding hazards onsite & update hazard information for future meter readers
2. Report all encounters of meter leaks, damaged, vandalized, and unsafe installations, tampering with meters & address error
3. Read installed meters & leave the property in the state it was found
4. Ensure all dealings with the public are professional & polite
5. Ensure a high standard of personal presentation at all times & wear supplied PPE
6. Accurately read meters for distributor AusNet services on behalf of retailers & fulfill contracted duties daily
7. Occasionally complete car-based routes that require driving onto properties to obtain reads, including along busy roads & Highways
8. Work typically starts in the field between 7am – 8am & 6:30am on days when it is going to be over 35 degrees & must download completed work by 4:30pm each day once route has been completed

* $32.17 per hour + super
* Ideally you will have the flexibility to be available for up to 37.5 hours per week, training is usually full time hours and there is the possibility of being rostered for hours between 5/8 hours per day
