About the role
As the Training Service Manager, you will lead a high-performing regional team delivering vocational education and training (VET) services, funded programs, and employment initiatives across the region. This role requires a strategic thinker and strong communicator with the capability to build and maintain partnerships across government, community, education providers, and industry stakeholders.
You'll be the driving force behind operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, and staff development—ensuring that programs meet regulatory and contractual obligations, while improving training access and outcomes in your region.
In this role you will
* Lead Regional Centre staff and allocate resources to support customer service and training outcomes
* Build stakeholder and community relationships to increase training and employment participation
* Oversee compliance across employers, students and Registered Training Organisations
* Liaise with government, industry and community stakeholders to support vocational education outcomes
* Prepare reports, support staff capability and provide advice on industry skill needs

About you

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage diverse tasks
* A high level of professionalism and the ability to influence positive behaviour and practices
* Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
* Knowledge of the apprenticeship and VET system is advantageous but not essential
* Committed to delivering high-quality support services and achieving positive outcomes
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

* Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
* Current and Valid Driver's Licence and willingness to travel
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
