About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Material Controller to support the delivery of a large‐scale construction project in Alkimos. Reporting to the Project Team, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely availability of resources to support construction activities.
This landmark project involves the construction of a large‐scale Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant and associated infrastructure, including a 33.5 km underground pipeline connecting Alkimos to Wanneroo Reservoir.
Site Location: Alkimos, next to the train station
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the receipt, inspection and storage of materials and equipment.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
* Track material movements and update inventory management systems.
* Liaise with suppliers, procurement teams, warehouse personnel, and site supervisors.
* Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate discrepancies.
* Ensure materials are issued to work fronts in a timely manner.
* Maintain compliance with project procedures, quality standards and safety requirements.
* Prepare material reports and provide updates to project stakeholders.
About You
* Previous experience as a Material Controller, Store Person, Warehouse Coordinator or similar role within construction, mining, oil & gas or major projects.
* Strong inventory management and material tracking experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems (SAP experience highly regarded).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
* Current WA Driver's Licence.
