About the role
The Accounts Manager is responsible for driving the sales and growth of our capsicum products. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role is based in either Brisbane or Sydney and requires flexibility to work on weekends as needed to support the sales team and meet business needs.
Key operational accountabilities
* Proactive and constructive contribution to the sales and production team.
* Achieve and surpass sales targets for capsicum products.
* Category Management.
* Manage Customer Purchase Order updates and communicate to several departments based on urgency.
* Enter incoming sales orders from supermarkets and agents.
* Complete EPOs.
* Compile daily harvest summaries for the Sales Team.
* Assist in completion of dispatch documentation and delivery paperwork.
* Assist with inbound freight planning and coordination from interstate farms.
* Actively participate in both daily Sales and Supply Chain meetings.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
* Identify and escalating priority issues to the appropriate team members; ensure tasks are completed at the end of each and provide confirmation.
* Communicate with customers when required.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, agriculture, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3‐4 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the agricultural or fresh produce sector.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Current Forklift Licence is an advantage.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation, problem‐solving, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
* Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
* Understanding and thriving in a multidimensional national fresh produce supply chain.
* Ability and confidence to make considered commercial decisions in a complex and agile marketplace.
* Highly developed relationship development and management skills.
* Strong numeracy skills.
* Practical, systemic, and calm approach to problem solving.
* Attention to detail with a sense of urgency and a \"can do\" attitude.
* Ability and willingness to work in a highly interdependent team environment.
* Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets, including weekends and public holidays.
* Flexibility to travel interstate.
