OO4 Ranger - Pioneer Work Unit
Join the Pioneer Work Unit as a Ranger based at Eungella National Park and play a vital role in delivering high‐quality park management services.
In This Role, You Will
* Deliver the Operational and Annual Work Plans under the direction of the Ranger in Charge or 2IC.
* Operate and maintain plant and equipment, control pest plants and animals, and undertake planned burning and wildfire suppression.
* Maintain Park infrastructure, manage small projects, and perform natural and cultural resource management duties.
* Provide on‐ground supervision to field staff and work collaboratively with others.
While most work will be field based, you will also complete administrative tasks, including record‐keeping, procurement, and workplace health and safety monitoring. Practical skills in operating and maintaining small power equipment and tools are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicate clearly and maintain a positive, supportive approach.
* Work effectively in a team, as a supervisor, and independently.
* Undertake estate development and protection duties, and compliance tasks.
* Assist with emergency responses and provide information to park visitors and stakeholders.
* Support and promote the interests of First Nations people.
What We're Looking For
* A strong personal work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively or independently.
* Practical experience in environmental management and asset maintenance.
* Formal qualifications in Conservation and Land Management, along with an ACDC licence and a General Construction Induction Training (White) card, are highly regarded but not mandatory.
