Lifestyle Assistant

About the Role

As a Wellbeing & Lifestyle Assistant, you will play a key role in enriching the lives of residents by planning, supporting, and facilitating engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the planning and delivery of lifestyle and wellbeing programs
* Encourage and support resident participation in activities and events
* Facilitate recreational, leisure, social, cultural, and spiritual activities
* Provide individual emotional support and social engagement to residents
* Assist with community engagement and intergenerational programs
* Support residents living with dementia through meaningful activities
* Contribute to care planning and resident wellbeing assessments
* Maintain accurate activity records and documentation
* Work collaboratively with care staff, families, and volunteers
About You

You are a positive, energetic, and caring individual who enjoys building relationships and making a genuine difference in the lives of older people.

You will demonstrate:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Creativity and enthusiasm in delivering engaging programs
* Empathy, patience, and a resident-centred approach
* Ability to work both independently and within a team
* A genuine passion for aged care and resident wellbeing
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing)
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Leisure & Health
* Current Police Check
* Valid working rights in Australia
* Basic computer skills
* Understanding of resident‐centred care principles
* Previous experience in residential aged care
* Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
* Knowledge of dementia support and wellbeing programs
* Food Safety Certificate
