Hourly Wage: $36.58 - $39.87 (plus superannuation)
Weekly Hours: 20 (Monday and Tuesday, 2.45pm to 5.30pm and Wednesday to Friday, 2.45pm to 5.15pm, the additional 7 hours of planning time can be done at a time negotiated with you)
NOTE: This is a temporary position. This contract is due to end 30 June 2027. This may be extended depending on external funding. Depending on operational requirements, performance and continued funding this position may be extended or made permanent at the end of this period.

About the role
This position will be responsible for administration and providing direct care and supervision of children with disability aged 10-18 years and to supervise the day to day centre based and community activities of Orange Disability Services - Anson St staff and clients. This includes:
* Planning and providing a safe and enjoyable programs for young people aged 10-18 years that meets NDIS standards including capacity and skill building in areas such as sport, recreation, homework, quiet time and social skills
* Effectively supervising staff to work as a team and provide a safe and enjoyable environment catering to the individual needs of children attending
* Reporting any \"child at risk indicators\" to the Coordinator if observed and reporting to the relevant agencies in compliance with mandatory reporting guidelines
* Assisting in the maintenance of a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at the service
* Developing a positive relationship with, and encourage communication between families and staff

So what do you need?
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Demonstrated experience planning service delivery and supervising staff in a disability service setting
* Practical knowledge of the NDIS funding and planning
* Certificate IV in Disability or Individual Support (or willingness to upgrade to this qualification)
* Current Provide First Aid Certificate
* Current NSW Drivers Licence
* Ability to complete a satisfactory criminal records check
* Current NSW Working With Children Check
* NDIS Worker Screening
Desirable
* Experience in childcare services or working with young people
