About the role
We are currently seeking a highly creative and collaborative Marketing Assistant who will join our Marketing team on a permanent part‐time basis (0.6 FTE). Reporting to the Marketing Specialist, the primary focus of the role is to provide operational, administrative and marketing support to ensure the smooth day‐to‐day functioning of the Marketing and Audience Research teams.
In this role you will:
* Assist with the delivery of marketing campaigns and promotional activities across Scitech programs and events.
* Support campaign implementation including electronic direct mail, event listings, website content updates and customer communications.
* Manage and update Scitech's online presence including Google Business profiles and tourism/event listing websites.
* Schedule and publish social media content across relevant platforms, monitor engagement and respond to customer comments and queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Assist with photography, videography and content creation for social media and marketing campaigns.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an individual who can manage competing priorities and a wide range of operational and administrative tasks within required timeframes.
Other skills and experience required include:
* A strong understanding of marketing laws and principles and ability to apply theory into practice.
* Knowledge of social media channels and emerging trends.
* An understanding of the digital media landscape.
* Ability to create compelling copy and tailor it for different mediums and audiences.
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communications or similar.
* National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one.
