The Role
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our statutory compensation management team in Melbourne, acting for WorkSafe Victoria and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC). The role involves providing strategic advice and representation in matters before the Magistrates' Court, the County Court, and the Supreme Court of Victoria. You will take ownership of a litigation caseload, mentor junior lawyers, and deliver pragmatic, government‐focused advice.
More About You
* At least 5 years post‐admission experience in statutory compensation law, preferably for WorkSafe and TAC.
* Passionate, commercially astute, and interested in building a successful career in statutory compensation law.
* Strong client‐relationship and file‐management skills with a commitment to timely, technically excellent advice.
* Self‐motivated with the maturity to manage day‐to‐day litigation caseloads, and open to mentorship.
* High technical excellence and attention to detail.
* Client‐service mindset and proven ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
* Capable of autonomous work while thriving in a collaborative environment.
