The Opportunity
We're seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join our team and take charge of mechanical assets. This position is base in our Picton Refinery and offers a great work & home life balance on a Monday to Friday roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct troubleshooting on live and dead equipment, whether isolated or removed from the process.
* Handle minor and major services, replacements and rebuilds of mechanical assets.
* Proficiency with a wide range of mechanical assets, including Helical, Centrifugal, Gear pumps (Internal & External), Vacuum Pumps/Boosters, Submersible, Diaphragm, Multistage, etc.
* Experience with Gear boxes, Cooling towers, Water treatment systems, Steam traps, and Filtration Systems.
* In-depth knowledge of various mechanical seals, including Single bellow seal & Double bellow seal
* Ability to interpret and work with seal drawings, understanding operating lengths, clearances, material types, and more.
Who are we looking for?
* An Australian recognised trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
* Proven experience in machinery maintenance and repair
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Commitment to safety and a meticulous attention to detail
