About the Role
We are seeking a detail-focused and proactive Finance Officer to join our Townsville team in a full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm). You'll keep our financial operations running smoothly — from payroll and reporting to supporting long-term financial planning. Working closely with the General Manager / Franchise Owner, you'll contribute to both day-to-day financial processes and the broader financial health of the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and monitor financial systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness
* Manage the general ledger, including reconciliations
* Prepare monthly management accounts (profit & loss, balance sheet)
* Oversee payroll, accounts payable and receivable
* Support financial management of Support at Home Packages
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
* Complete statutory reporting requirements
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and margin analysis
* Support audits as required
* Ensure compliance with Just Better Care policies and procedures

What You'll Bring (Essential)
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a finance role
* Experience with accounts payable and receivable
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Advantageous (not essential)
* Experience in NDIS or Aged Care billing
* Knowledge of the SCHADS Award
