Your New Role and Responsibilities
As a member of our engineering team, you will manage the baselines of several mission systems located on multiple security domains, enabling effective change management over a highly complex ICT environment. You will identify and control configuration items defined in the Configuration Management Database and engineering baselines.
You will provide other technical teams with configuration management guidance or advice and work closely with technical teams, managed service providers and senior stakeholders to improve service maturity, embed better ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement, with real opportunities to take ownership of configuration management initiatives and grow your influence as the program evolves.
* Deliver end-to-end configuration management services, including identification, control, status accounting and audits
* Own and maintain the Configuration Management Plan, procedures, work practices, and provide configuration management guidance across the team
* Establish, manage and assure the integrity of configuration management databases, technical data lists, and baselines across service, software and engineering environments
* Plan, track and manage configuration and change activities, including maintaining a rolling 12‐month schedule of known changes and effort forecasts
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and quality requirements through audits, reporting and participation in configuration control forums
* Drive continuous improvement of configuration management processes and tools, working closely with technical and program stakeholders
What You'll Bring to Make An Impact
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
* Proven experience and/or certifications in ITIL Service Management with strong Configuration and Change Management expertise, including outside ITIL frameworks
* Hands‐on experience with Configuration Management Systems and maintaining configuration and change processes in complex environments
* Demonstrated ability to develop policies, procedures and work instructions, and manage compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship‐building skills, with the ability to work independently and within teams
* Highly organised and adaptable, with experience performing in agile, high‐performance or regulated environments (e.g. Defence desirable)
* All applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold an NV‐1 security clearance and be capable of upgrading to a TSPV security clearance, and be eligible for a DISA clearance
