Mercer Couriers is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our team in the Greater Darwin region. About the Role
You'll be responsible for transporting and delivering palletised freight, construction materials, and other goods using a truck-mounted Moffett forklift. This includes loading and unloading freight at customer locations, ensuring safe handling, and representing the Mercer Couriers brand with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate a HR-class truck fitted with a rear-mounted Moffett forklift
* Conduct pre-start inspections and follow all vehicle safety procedures
* Load and unload freight efficiently using the Moffett forklift
* Deliver to a mix of commercial and residential sites around Greater Darwin
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records
* Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism
Requirements
* Full working rights in Australia
* HR Class driver's licence
* Forklift license
* Strong awareness of safety and load restraint procedures
* Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks
* Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
* Willingness to provide a police clearance and driver history report
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
* Minimum of 1+ years previous truck driving & forklift experience required
