Plantmark – one of Australia's leading national wholesale plant nurseries – is seeking a customer service focussed nursery person to join our plantastic Trade Market team at Thomastown.
About Us
Plantmark operates six Wholesale Trade Markets with sales, production and distribution in Victoria and Queensland. Plantmark has been the largest trade supplier to the urban development, landscape and local government sectors for over thirty five years and has established an outstanding reputation for excellence within the nursery industry.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Trade Market Manager, the role involves hands on sales and customer service, along with plant consultation, scanning stock, processing payments and liaising with suppliers. General nursery duties include weeding, watering, merchandising, grounds maintenance and use of trade equipment. Two full‐time positions are available, working a five‐day roster: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday. Plantmark offers a four‐week induction and training program, with face‐to‐face learning and online courses providing a roadmap for success in the role.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful as a Plantmark Trade Market Sales and Service person, you will have:
* Passion for plants with knowledge of botanical plant identification and/or horticulture experience highly desirable.
* High level customer service skills with a proactive approach to solving queries.
* Confident computer ability at intermediate standards.
* Accountability for tasks with a sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.
* Positive work ethic with ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team.
