The Role
Join us at El Questro, a culinary haven in the heart of the Kimberley. As our Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing kitchen operations, supporting the Head Chef, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including rostering and ordering.
* Lead by example, mentoring and training kitchen staff.
* Create high‐quality dishes, maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
* Collaborate with front‐of‐house staff to deliver seamless dining experiences.
About You
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role.
* Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking.
* Solid skills in menu planning, cost management, and stock control.
* A passion for food and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast‐paced environment.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
* A current driver's licence is desirable.
