City of Wanneroo
About
the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and
collaborative Administration Officer to support the City's
Asset Maintenance, and Parks and Conservation Management
teams.
Operating in
a busy environment and as part of a committed team, the
Administration Officer has a determination to deliver excellent
customer service with a strong focus on attention to detail. The
responsibilities of the position are varied which creates
challenging and exciting opportunities. Some of the activities
undertaken by the Administration Officer include:
* Coordinating responses
to customer enquires received through the City's Customer
Request Management System or via phone;
* Acting
as a point of contact for the Asset Maintenance and Parks &
Conservation Management teams to enable the resolution of
technical queries;
* Raising
requisitions, and completing routine financial transactions and
purchasing requirements;
* Raising
and completing work requests and work orders
* Attending to the
reception counter as required.
* Answering phone calls
from residents and internal staff
* Assisting with other
administrative duties across the team as required.
About
you To be successful in the position, you will have
strong customer service skills and be comfortable navigating
between multiple computer programs. You will thrive in a busy and
change driven organisation and enjoy working as part of a
team.
Through your

address that you have the following experience/competencies

* Qualification in a
relevant discipline such as Business Administration or relevant
experience;
* Intermediate experience
in administrative and financial processes;
* Intermediate
administrative and financial skills with a strong attention to
detail;
* Intermediate computing,
numeracy and literacy skills;
* Intermediate keyboard /
data entry skills;
* Intermediate skills in
the efficient utilisation of information systems and
technology;
* Intermediate written and
verbal communication skills;
* Intermediate customer
service skills;
* Intermediate
organisational and time management skills, with the ability to
prioritise competing tasks;
* Ability
to work within a team environment; and
* Knowledge of the
practical application of Occupational Health and Safety
measures in the workplace including hazard identification in an
office environment.
