* Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
* Australian Citizen or ability to obtain Australian

Specific requirements for roles
* Chief Engineer
o Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 - Engineer class 1 (required), Minimum 12 months sea time as a First Engineer (required), Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)
* First, Second and Third Engineers
o Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 2 (required), AMSA Engineer (Class 2) CoC/CoR Unlimited; Minimum 3 years sea time as an Engine Watchkeeper (required)
* Chief Officer
o AMSA Chief Officer COC/COR Unlimited (required); Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory); Technical Requirement: minimum 5 years sea time as a Watchkeeper Deck (mandatory); STCW regulation II/2
* Second to Third Officer
o Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory); Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)
