About the Role
Mission Australia provides essential care and support to vulnerable older Australians in our residential aged care facilities. We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our Residential Aged Care team, responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and hygienic environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms and workspaces.
* Perform routine and scheduled cleaning tasks, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising and waste disposal.
* Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures.
* Handle cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
* Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure the home is clean, comfortable and welcoming.
* Actively participate in the continuous quality improvement program at the service.
* Respect the privacy and dignity of residents at all times.
Requirements
* Previous cleaning experience in residential aged care, health care, or hospitality (desirable).
* Knowledge of safe work practices and infection control.
* Reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Compassionate, respectful and committed to supporting older people.
* Will have a national police history check, referee checks and work right checks completed before starting.
