About Our Client
Our client is a global dairy company experiencing strong growth and operating a 24/6 production facility.
They are seeking a senior Process Technician to join the fermentation production team.
Job Overview
The Senior Process Technician will operate processing equipment, manage variable fermentation schedules, maintain SHE, GMP and quality standards, run CPI metrics, use SAP ERP, support plant shutdowns, report deviations, and lead shift operations when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Operate processing equipment, including preparation of raw materials into media, transferring, monitoring fermentation, harvesting, and freezing cultures.
Coordinate and adapt production scheduling to manage variable growth times and align with all related manufacturing activities in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure all SHE standards, GMP, and Quality standards are maintained.
Run CPI metrics.
Use SAP ERP platform.
Support plant shutdown operations.
Report any process deviations or delays to the Production Supervisor.
Capable of managing shift operations when the Supervisor is absent.
Move materials and receive goods as required to support production.
Ensure all Food Safety, HACCP, and quality requirements are implemented.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
Record and report operational data accurately for continuous process improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
Over 5 years' experience in dairy or high-care food manufacturing.
Experience in complex liquid processing, aseptic or high-care production processes is preferred.
Multi-skilled role requiring hands-on troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and supporting various production tasks.
Proven experience operating multi-step production lines (mixing, pasteurization, filling) in high-care environments, including managing complex cleaning and sterilization procedures.
Understanding of HMI or PLC systems.
Experience supporting plant shutdowns would be ideal.
Exposure to SAP or a similar ERP platform.
Boiler operator certification (not essential; training provided).
Forklift licence.
Team player with a desire to progress.
Comfortable doing afternoon shifts in Moorebank.
What We Offer
$85k + super + penalties = $109,500 + bonus.
Permanent role based in Moorebank.
Fixed schedule Mon-Fri afternoon 1.15pm – 9.30pm.
