Role and Location
We're seeking a seasoned Dams Engineer at the Lead to Principal level to join our market-leading Northern Australia Dams Group. Our team delivers some of the most complex and high-profile dams and hydropower projects across Australia and internationally — offering you the opportunity to lead, innovate, and make a lasting impact. This role can be based in any of our Northern Australia office locations.
Responsibilities
* Provide Technical Leadership: Deliver expert input across geotechnical, structural, hydraulic, design, and construction management disciplines. Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Support Client Engagement & Business Development: Build and maintain strong client relationships. Lead proposal development and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
* Support Team Development: Mentor and support junior engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
* Drive Project Delivery: Identify and pursue new opportunities. Support site-based assignments during construction phases as needed.
What you will bring to the team
* Minimum Bachelor's degree qualifications in civil engineering or related discipline.
* RPEQ registration (or commitment to attain).
* Be a seasoned professional with an in depth understanding of dams engineering (geotechnical, structural, hydraulic).
* Proven experience in design and/or construction management.
* Strong leadership, communication, and client engagement skills.
