Discipline Engineer / Scientist - Port Operations & Infrastructure

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Specialist to join a major mining and industrial operation supporting port infrastructure projects in the Pilbara region.
Roster: 8/6 Port Hedland Location
Duration: approx. 6 months – depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $60.00 p/h
Please note that only people with relevant experience will be considered.
The Role
This position is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of electrical projects across a large-scale heavy industrial facility. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
* Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates and execution plans
* Coordinate with operations, maintenance and reliability teams
* Manage contractors, procurement activities and vendor engagement
* Support shutdown planning and project execution activities
* Review and redline technical drawings and documentation
* Track project budgets, forecasts and reporting requirements
* Raise and manage notifications within SAP
* Source and manage long lead equipment and materials
* Ensure compliance with site safety, engineering and project management procedures
* Participate in contractor compliance and stakeholder meetings
* Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* Strong project management experience within mining, ports or heavy industrial environments
* Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects
* Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
* Current C Class Driver's Licence
