What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, industry experience, and a collaborative spirit to support our operations.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Install, connect and maintain electrical control systems across AIP's fabrication facility, ensuring all wiring, switchgear and automated machinery operate safely and to specification.
* Diagnose, fault-find and carry out repairs on industrial electrical systems, including CNC routing machines, poly welding equipment, hydraulic systems and other production plant to minimise operational downtime.
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance and compliance-based servicing of electrical systems, plant and equipment throughout the facility in accordance with relevant Australian safety standards and regulations.
* Interpret and apply technical documentation including circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, mechanical drawings, cable and connection schedules, and equipment manuals to perform accurate and compliant electrical installations and repairs in the industrial production environment.
* Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers and fabrication trades workers to plan, coordinate and execute electrical works as part of AIP's broader project delivery and facility improvement activities.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate the following:
* A current and valid Electrical Licence (unrestricted)
* Completion of trade qualification in Electrotechnology or Electricity (Certificate III or equivalent) or proven professional experience to substitute qualification
* Proven experience working with complex industrial electrical and electronic systems, ideally within a manufacturing, processing or heavy fabrication environment.
* Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, circuit schematics and equipment manuals.
* Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Work Health & Safety legislation, and compliance requirements applicable to industrial electrical work.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a methodical, detail-oriented approach to maintenance and repair.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-trade environment, communicating effectively with engineers and production personnel.
* Experience with CNC machinery, automated systems or chemical processing equipment will be highly regarded.
