Responsibilities and Duties
* Undertake maintenance, repairs, commissioning and modification of plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Inspect and diagnose faults, completing repairs while ensuring safety and quality standards.
* Supervise apprentices or staff assisting with mechanical tasks, as required.
* Attend after‐hour callouts and travel statewide to job sites.
* Support WH&S and fatigue management, maintaining readiness to work outside normal hours.
Qualifications
* Automotive Vehicle Mechanic Qualification with significant exposure to heavy vehicles and plant.
* Current Construction Industry White Card and unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence (MR or HR licence advantageous).
* Willingness to undertake any required licensing or ticketing.
* Experience in welding and metal fabrication highly desirable.
Benefits
* Salary: $1,468.00–$1,695.80 per week, plus superannuation and allowances.
* 5 weeks annual leave and a 9‐day fortnight.
