Maintenance technicians perform preventative maintenance repairs on CNC machinery robotics automation systems, diagnosing and resolving faults across PLCs drives sensors HMIs and low-voltage control systems.
The role involves performing minor mechanical tasks such as bearings belts lubrication and guarding adjustments. This includes completing electrical safety testing to ensure work meets ASNZS and internal compliance standards. Additionally, the technician installs commissioning upgrades and modifies equipment while maintaining accurate CMMS records.
* Perform preventative maintenance/repairs on CNC machinery robotics & automation systems
* Diagnose and resolve faults across PLCs drives sensors HMIs and low-voltage control systems
* Respond to breakdowns with structured troubleshooting to restore equipment quickly
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with mechanical engineering production quality teams to optimize performance
* Identify reliability risks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* Follow isolation procedures safe work practices and all quality standards
* Provide responsive support to production communicating effectively with stakeholders
* Mentor junior technicians and apprentices through on-the-job guidance
* Assist engineering teams with diagnostic documents technical updates and maintenance procedures
* Review update and produce technical publications and test procedures
Required Qualifications:
* Australian Electrical Trade Qualification (Electrical Fitter or equivalent)
* Current Electrical Licence
* High-Risk Work Licence (EWP) and LOTO/permit-to-work training preferred
