Senior Civil Engineer

The Opportunity
We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. This role involves the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines. The successful candidate will have experience in reviewing design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modeling, drafting, and preparing reports and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and develop design requirements for water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.
* Conduct site investigations and gather data for project planning and execution.
* Perform calculations and modeling to ensure designs meet client needs.
* Oversight drafting and prepare reports and specifications.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
* Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
* Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design-related risks.
* Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects.
