About the Role
PKKP is seeking a Community Health & Programs Support Officer to provide essential administrative, operational and member support to our Community Health & Programs Team. Working closely with the Community Programs Officer, Community Health & Wellbeing Officers, and Manager, Health & Programs, you will coordinate community programs, events, outreach activities, and member services to promote access to healthcare, employment, training, wellbeing, professional development, community connection and positive outcomes for PKKP people. This role is ideal for a highly organised and community‐minded individual who enjoys supporting others, coordinating activities and contributing to meaningful work that benefits community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and operational support to the Community Health & Programs Team.
* Assist with planning and coordination of initiatives, programs, workshops, community events, and outreach activities.
* Coordinate travel, accommodation, venue bookings, catering, and other logistical requirements.
* Support program delivery through registrations, attendance tracking, resource preparation and record keeping.
* Respond to member enquiries and assist members in accessing programs, services, referrals and support opportunities.
* Prepare data collection reports, correspondence, presentations and program documentation to continuously improve activities.
* Maintain accurate databases, records and case management systems.
* Liaise with stakeholders to coordinate activities and improve access for PKKP members.
Selection Criteria
Essential
* Strong organisational, administrative and time‐management skills.
* Proficient computer skills; experience using Microsoft 360 Suite, Canva, Mailchimp and case management systems, or willingness to learn.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Current driver's licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain.
* Willingness to travel, as required.
Desirable
* High level of cultural awareness and respect for First Nations peoples, culture and communities.
* Experience in administration, community services, health services, programme coordination or a similar support role.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
