Role
Resource Development Project Geologist at Duketon Operations – an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth with a balance of site time and lifestyle.
Responsibilities
* Plan and design infill and extensional resource definition drilling programs to support ongoing growth and confidence in the Mineral Resource base.
* Prepare clear and comprehensive drilling proposals and work programs, ensuring technical robustness and alignment with project objectives.
* Prioritise work programs effectively, balancing operational demands, geological targets, and resource development strategy.
* Oversee the safe and efficient execution of drilling activities, maintaining strong field leadership and adherence to company safety standards.
* Ensure all geological and drilling data is accurate, validated, and ready for integration into databases, resource models, and interpretation workflows.
* Contribute to mineralisation interpretation, resource assessment, and geological modelling, providing insight that drives sound technical decision making.
* Report drilling results, significant geological observations, or discoveries promptly to management and relevant stakeholders.
* Produce high-quality internal and external technical reports, clearly communicating results, methodologies, and recommendations.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
* Strong understanding of mineral systems, with particular experience in orogenic gold exploration and resource development.
* Hands‐on experience with RC and diamond core drilling, including high-quality geological logging and sampling.
* Solid understanding of secondary mineralisation processes and their impact on interpretation and resource modelling.
* Proven capability in geological logging, interpretation, and generating technically sound insights to support resource definition.
* Demonstrated technical leadership and support of junior geologists where required.
* Ability to assess, prioritise, and manage multiple projects based on both technical merit and commercial considerations.
* Proficiency with GIS and 3D geological modelling software, preferably including platforms commonly used in gold exploration and resource work.
