Position Summary
Relief Teacher Aides support teaching staff in delivering quality education by assisting with classroom activities, supervising students, and providing individual or small group support to enhance student learning and engagement. This role requires flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to a variety of classroom and learning environments.
Requirements
* Certificate or Diploma in Education Support would be highly regarded
* Demonstrated experience working within a secondary school environment would be advantageous
* Training in recognised numeracy and literacy support programs is desirable.
* Holds current "Working With Children Authority Card" issued by Blue Card Services.
* Current Apply First Aid Certificate is desirable.
Selection CriteriaEssential
* Profess a Christian belief and regularly attend a church fellowship
* Model Christian character and living within the community, and be willing to accept the Citipointe Christian College Statement of Faith
* Demonstrate the ability to support teaching and learning in classroom settings with individual students and small groups
* Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and a high level of computer literacy
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Demonstrate effective organisation and time management skills
* Maintain high levels of confidentiality regarding sensitive College, staff, and student information
* Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in new and changing environments
Desirable
* Experience supporting students from a Christian worldview
* Understanding of inclusive education practices
* Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development in a relief teacher aide capacity
* Previous experience working in a secondary school environment
