Front-End Developer (AEM Edge Delivery Services / Modern Web)
We are seeking a Front-End Developer to support the delivery of a marketing transformation initiative leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM as a Cloud Service) and Edge Delivery Services (EDS). This role will focus on building high-performing, content-driven web experiences (e.g. articles, homepage, navigation, reusable components) using modern front-end practices and the EDS delivery model.
A key aspect of this role is working within a document-based authoring model (e.g. Word / Google Docs driving web content), where content structure and front-end logic come together at the edge to deliver fast, SEO-optimised experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain front-end components for marketing experiences (homepage, articles, navigation, content blocks)
* Develop reusable EDS blocks and templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Work within a document-based authoring model, translating structured content into engaging web experiences
* Work closely with Product, UX, and Marketing teams to translate designs into performant web pages
* Optimise websites for Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse performance (aiming for high/near-perfect scores)
* Implement responsive, accessible web experiences across devices
* Integrate analytics tracking (Adobe Analytics / GA / GTM)
* Contribute to Git-based workflows and content-driven development approach
* Collaborate with backend developers for API integration and dynamic content
Required Skills & Experience
* ~3–4 years of front-end development experience
* Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+)
* Responsive design and modern CSS practices
* Experience working with component-based UI development
* Experience building content-driven or CMS-based websites
* Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Next.js) — desirable but not mandatory
* Experience working with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
* Strong understanding of Web performance optimisation (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse)
* SEO best practices
* Accessibility (WCAG)
AEM / EDS Experience (Highly Desirable)
* Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (any exposure is beneficial)
* Exposure to or strong interest in Edge Delivery Services (EDS) or headless / edge delivery models
* Experience building content-driven UI (blocks, templates, structured content)
Nice to Have
* Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (Analytics, Target)
* Experience building search interfaces or content-heavy sites
* Familiarity with CDN-based or edge delivery models
* Experience working with structured content or document-driven workflows
