Join Western Australia's only commercial radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility and play a vital hands‐on role in the production of diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals.

This position is a full‐time night shift production chemist at 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the roster shared with other production chemists and the possibility of day shift.

At Cyclowest you will work within a TGA‐licensed facility, contributing to the manufacture, testing, development, and validation of both established and emerging diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.

The facility operational hours are 12:30am – 5:00pm subject to operational requirements.

Comprehensive training and on‐the‐job experience will be provided to help you develop expertise in radiopharmaceutical production and quality control.

Reporting Relationships

This role reports directly to the Production Team Leader.

Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, microbiology, physics or related physical sciences.
* Experience in the production of radiopharmaceuticals.
* Experience working in a GMP environment.
* Working knowledge of radioactive materials handling, ALARA concepts and Radiation Safety principles.
* Relevant experience working with separation techniques such as HPLC, analytical and/or synthetic organic chemistry and PET radiochemistry.
* Ability to lift up to 18kg unassisted.
* High level of personal hygiene for working in a cleanroom environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow batch records for the synthesis, aseptic dispensing and packaging of PET radiopharmaceuticals.
* Manufacture radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with GMP as set out by the TGA.
* Ensure safe, timely and effective completion of work to provide for smooth delivery of radiopharmaceuticals.
* Perform routine calibration of equipment.
* Maintain materials inventory of all materials and accurate records.
* Perform routine cleaning and sanitisation of aseptic areas and cleanroom suites, including microbiological monitoring and managing waste disposal.
* Conduct tests for quality, sterility and purity of compounds to support the quality control programme.
* Assist in creating new approaches in the synthesis and labelling of novel radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and research use.
* Provide general customer service to the client base.
