Job Description
We're looking for a Recoveries Officer to provide specialist support and process recovery activity within the team and Workers Compensation Claims. The role will be responsible for processing monetary financials in association with Workers Compensation Claim.
This role is based in Sydney and will be permanent, full-time.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of S151z recovery claims
* Ensure that all actions and tasks undertaken are in compliance with icare's requirements
* Compliance with GIO internal policies and procedures including the Injury Management Program and Technical / Procedural Manuals.
* Compliance with Workers Compensation Legislation and Regulatory requirements.
* Ensure all relevant legislation, policies and procedures are adhered to in managing the provision of information, products, and services to customer.
* Maintain current case management, legislative and regulatory knowledge by actively participating in training sessions.
* Provide advice and guidance to Workers Compensation claims staff on recoveries.
* Maximise recovery opportunities to meet the KPI measures set by iCare.
* Adhere to business practices to achieve Balanced Score Card Targets.
* Ensure there is a focus on the delivery of outcomes to maximise fee income available under the performance measures.
* Build, maintain and develop relationships with internal & external customers.
* Ensure accurate processing of all monetary financials including settlements & allocation of money
* Identify opportunities and solutions for improvement in design and process of Recoveries and associated work.
Skills & Experience Required
* Preferred experience within a recovery environment in the Workers Compensation industry, and must have a minimum of 3 years' claims experience within the Workers Compensation Industry in roles relating to the provision of claims management.
* Demonstrated experience in utilising web-based administration systems
* Strong knowledge and understanding of claims management.
* Preferred understanding of recoveries procedures in the icare scheme.
* Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation Act 1987, Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998 and amendments 2002.
* Strong knowledge of associated legislations and relevant case law that governs third party recoveries.
