What you'll be doing
The Librarian (Grade 2) is responsible for the delivery of high-quality, client-centred library services to staff and stakeholders across the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD).
Operating as a sole librarian within the facility, the position supports access to evidence-based information through expert literature searching, research assistance, and information skills training.
The role includes the development, coordination, and evaluation of library services and resources to meet the clinical, educational, and research needs of healthcare professionals.
Travel to other MNCLHD sites may be required to ensure equitable service delivery across the district.
This role is being offered at 32 hours per week with the possibility for the right candidate to be increased to 38 hours per week.
About you
Do you have relevant degree or postgraduate diploma in library and information studies, with eligibility for Associate (professional) membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA); or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience deemed by the employer to be equivalent, that meets the ALIA minimum standard of skill and knowledge and highly developed interpersonal, liaison, written, and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse professional and disciplinary groups.
