Charles Hull Contracting is currently seeking applications for an experienced Workshop WHS Advisor to permanently join our team. The WHS Advisor plays a key role to support CHC's commitment to a safe workplace. This includes identifying, developing, implementing and improving health and safety systems and practices to ensure that CHC's statutory and organisational objectives are achieved.
Reporting to the WHS Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Be the primary source of expertise in the Main Workshop on matters relating to workplace safety and health
* Assist supervisors in Injury Management
* Maintain all administrative requirements of the role
* Provide monthly reporting to all relevant stakeholders
* Ensure policies and procedures are being adhered to
Requirements:
* Proven experience as Safety Advisor in a mechanical workshop/engineering or relevant field is preferred
* In depth knowledge of legislation and procedures
* Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
* Experience in ICAM investigation techniques
* Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
* Proficient in MS Office
* Outstanding organisational skills
* Diligent with great attention to detail
* Strong communication and coaching skills with the ability to influence change
* Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety
* Current drivers licence
