Role Summary
The Health and Safety Officer plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe working environment for employees. This position involves advising, supporting, and assisting managers and supervisors in implementing health, safety, and training systems, procedures, and policies across the site.
About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Health Coordinator and Safety Coordinator to promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. Your primary objective will be to assist in overseeing comprehensive health and safety programs, developing and maintaining site safety statistics information, and facilitating end-of-month reporting.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the implementation of health, safety, and training systems, procedures, and policies across the site.
* Work closely with the Health Coordinator and Safety Coordinator to promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment.
* Develop and maintain site safety statistics information.
* Facilitate end-of-month reporting.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A tertiary qualification in work health, safety, and/or training or equivalent.
* Previous administration experience.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Ability to manage and build positive relationships.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated advanced computer literacy combined with the ability to quickly pick up new software programs.
