Key Accountabilities/Duties
* Overseeing the service educational program, including undertaking the Educational Leader role when required.
* Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children within the centre; that children are protected, and their rights are upheld at all times, and that the service complies with "Keep Them Safe" guidelines.
* Applying conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques with staff and parents for the resolution of issues.
* Liaising with other services and agencies, communities and families to advocate for and promote education and care.
* Managing and developing staff through implementation of Council's human resource management systems, policies and procedures.
* Monitoring the service budget and ensuring the service is fully utilised.
* Ensuring the service operates in compliance with all Council systems, relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures, and local government requirements.
* Demonstrating the ability to effectively use Council's software systems and other digital tools to manage the service, support administration, and maintain accurate records and reporting.
What do you need?
* Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood or Primary) or equivalent tertiary qualification.
* Extensive experience in a similar role.
* Mandatory National Child Safety Training from GECCO (Get early childhood compliance knowledge online).
* Demonstrated effective leadership and supervisory skills, with experience leading and supporting staff.
* Demonstrated experience in monitoring and managing service budgets, including resource allocation, expenditure oversight, and maintaining financial sustainability.
* Current Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting certificate (HLTAID004) or equivalent.
* NSW Working with Children Check.
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
