Overview

Digital Designer – Role Overview

The Digital Designer is responsible for creating high-quality visual assets that bring marketing campaigns to life across digital channels. This role is design-led, with a strong focus on delivering engaging, on-brand campaign assets that drive audience growth, engagement, and performance. While graphic design is the primary focus, the role also supports video and photography content creation, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual presence across all touchpoints. This role sits within a product-led environment but is primarily aligned to campaign execution and marketing content delivery, reporting to the Senior Product Designer and Head of Product, and working closely with Marketing and Digital teams.

Responsibilities

* Campaign & Digital Asset Design (Primary Focus)
o Design and deliver high-quality visual assets for:
+ Paid and organic social media campaigns
+ Digital advertising (display, social, video thumbnails)
+ Website, landing pages, and eDMs
+ Sales collateral and promotional materials
o Translate campaign briefs and concepts into compelling, on-brand creative.
o Ensure consistency across all touchpoints, adhering to brand guidelines and visual identity.
o Adapt and roll out campaign creative across multiple formats, sizes, and platforms.
o Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to refine and execute creative assets.
* Content Creation (Secondary – Video & Multimedia)
o Create engaging video content for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
o Support campaign storytelling through short-form and long-form video content.
o Shoot and edit video content using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.
o Optimise video assets for platform-specific performance and engagement.
* Photography & Asset Development
o Capture high-quality photography of number plates in:
o Use DSLR and mobile (iPhone) to create visually compelling assets aligned with brand guidelines.
o Maintain and organise a centralised library of visual assets for ongoing campaign use.
* Campaign & Product Support
o Support the rollout of number plate campaigns and launches through strong visual execution.
o Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure assets align with campaign objectives.
o Assist in creating co-branded content with automotive partners where required.
o Ensure creative supports both brand storytelling and performance metrics.
* Events & Real-Time Content
o Attend automotive and industry events as required (including occasional out-of-hours work).
o Capture and produce real-time social content during events.
o Support live content initiatives (e.g. Instagram Live, event coverage).

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

* Experience:
o 3+ years' experience in graphic design (essential) with exposure to video and photography
o Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign and digital design work
* Technical Skills:
o Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
o Experience with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut or similar)
o Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
o Knowledge of photography/videography fundamentals (lighting, composition, audio)
* Digital & Content Knowledge:
o Experience designing for social media and digital platforms
o Understanding of formats, best practices, and performance-driven creative
* Creative Skills:
o Strong visual storytelling and creative thinking
o Ability to translate ideas into compelling campaign assets
* Other Skills:
o Strong time management and organisational skills
o Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
o Clear communication and collaboration skills

Additional Requirements
