The General Manager, Digital Enablement Technology drives the strategy and execution of NCA’s digital publishing ecosystem—technology that supports 14 million monthly visitors and 60 million video streams. You’ll oversee platforms and tools that sit above our core web and app publishing stack, including video and audio players, digital interactives, content workflow, digital rights management & syndication, digital print editions, and reusable editorial storytelling tools, while also supporting B2B and off-platform distribution.This is a strategic leadership role. You’ll translate complex technical realities into clear commercial outcomes, influence priorities, and ensure platforms support emerging storytelling formats. Operating at the centre of a cross-functional ecosystem, you’ll collaborate with Digital Product, Editorial, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery, and global teams to align roadmaps, strengthen platform stability, and maximise delivery velocity.Leading a team of three direct reports, you’ll modernise ways of working, build capability, and evolve the technology foundations that underpin NCA’s digital journalism. You’ll also partner with horizontal teams and Technical Product Management to translate strategy into engineering-ready solutions, ensuring scalable, efficient, and future-ready publishing platforms.In addition to the management and oversight of existing platforms and tools, this role is accountable for leading the technology streams of a multi-year program to assess and then replace our current print-centric platforms with digital-first planning and authoring tools across our newsrooms.
