Overview The Deputy Clinical Director position provides psychiatric care to patients and assists the Clinical Director in management and qualified leadership of the department. The role also provides training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other healthcare team members. The position is a permanent full‑time Staff Specialist with a temporary full‑time Deputy Clinical Director component, with estimated total remuneration up to $447,016 per annum.
Services include inpatient and community‑based care, teaching and research responsibilities. Vacancies exist in the Acute Care Team, Inpatient Team and Crisis Stabilisation Facility at a 750‑bed teaching hospital serving a population of 600,000 in Queensland.
The Mental Health Service includes inpatient, outpatient and community teams, with 130 inpatient beds across various units. The service supports training requirements of overseas‑trained doctors and is located in a thriving international resort with year‑round warm weather and a diverse tourism industry.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
Registration as a medical practitioner and specialist psychiatrist (FRANZCP) with the Medical Board of Australia.
Experience in psychiatric care and leadership within a teaching hospital setting.
Ability to teach and supervise junior staff and multi‑disciplinary teams.
Compensation
Estimated total remuneration up to $447,016 per annum.
