National Work Health & Safety Manager
Arcare is seeking an experienced and strategic National Work Health & Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's Work Health & Safety, Early Intervention and Injury Management programs nationally.
Reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer, this senior leadership role will work collaboratively across all levels of the business to embed a proactive safety culture and ensure WHS practices are integrated into core operations. The successful candidate will also lead a small team located across Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales and contribute broadly to the People and Culture function.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and drive Arcare's national WHS and injury management strategy
* Develop, implement and monitor WHS systems, policies and procedures
* Coach and influence leaders to integrate safety into everyday operations
* Oversee incident investigations, risk management and corrective actions
* Lead early intervention and return-to-work initiatives
* Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation and regulatory requirements
* Analyse safety performance data and identify trends and improvement opportunities
* Provide leadership, mentoring and support to a geographically dispersed team
* Contribute to broader People and Culture initiatives and organisational objectives
About You
* Extensive experience in a senior WHS leadership role
* Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and injury management practices
* Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organisational levels
* Experience managing teams across multiple locations
* Excellent communication, coaching and relationship management skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or related discipline
