About the role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with experience developing and delivering AI/ML and advanced analytic solutions to exploit the Department's data holdings in support of business requirements. The role will need to be current with emerging data-science and machine-learning technologies, including the necessary skills to develop computer vision models for a range of targets and imagery types. Role Responsibilities
* Evaluation of the need for analytics, assessment of the problems to be solved, and what internal or external data sources to use or acquire.
* Specification and application of appropriate mathematical, statistical, predictive modelling or machine –learning techniques to analyse data, generate insights, create value and support decision-making.
* Undertake technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of analytic development, including the planning, delivery and communication of analytic methods, tools and techniques.

Security Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current TSPV Security Clearance.
