Marine Environmental Consultant page is loaded## Marine Environmental Consultantlocations: Perth, Australiatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: June 30, 2026 (30+ days left to apply)job requisition id: R00030184As part of the continued growth of our services in the energy and resources sectors, ERM has an exciting opportunity for a **Marine Environmental Consultant** to join our team in Perth and assist in the delivery of our portfolio of projects to our key clients.This is an excellent opportunity for a professional consultant looking to advance their career with a global environmental leader.**About the opportunity:*** In this fast paced and dynamic role you will support a wide range of projects with a focus on environmental impact assessments in marine and coastal environments.* Support the delivery of large-scale capital development projects, including for renewables, oil and gas (with a growing portfolio of decommissioning-related work), mining and infrastructure sector clients.* Be a part of multidisciplinary project teams and network with ERM's global marine science technical community to share resources and best practice approaches across the industry.**Key attributes:*** Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health and safety protocols.* Effective written and verbal communication; organizational and analytical skills; experience recording, inputting and managing technical data and preparing reports.* Understanding of / experience working with data management software / databases would be beneficial.* Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.* Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, simultaneously handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.* Dependable, with integrity, respect, positive outlook, and customer focus and the ability to work as a team player.* Strong interest in marine and coastal ecosystems, potential threats, coastal management issues, and strategies for protection and conservation is essential.* Australian Working Rights.**If you have the following, we want to hear from you:*** Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (marine science, environmental science, environmental management).* Relevant post graduate qualifications such as Honours or Masters would be an advantage and /or 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.* Previous experience in environmental consultancy, environmental regulation or industry is an advantage.* Understanding of Australian environmental approvals processes.If this sounds like you, and you're looking to join a fun and vibrant team where you can add real value and make a difference, then we want to hear from you.
