Governance and Risk Management | UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs (Level 7). Salary: $105,843 – $115,703 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation. Full‐time (36.25 hours per week), ongoing appointment.
The Opportunity
The Quality Assurance Advisor plays an important role within Governance and Risk Management, partnering across the University to support quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and Academic Governance, you will provide expert advice and practical guidance to ensure alignment with the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF) and the TEQSA Act, translating complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical solutions.
Responsibilities
* Provide advice and support to all areas of the University regarding the requirements of the Higher Education Standards Framework (HESF) and TEQSA;
* Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of quality assurance and improvement activities across the University;
* Proactively promote a culture of continuous improvement through the identification and dissemination of best practice;
* Actively contribute to the objectives of the Quality Team and the wider Governance and Risk Management Team.
Qualifications
* Completion of a relevant degree and extensive experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience within higher education quality development;
* Extensive knowledge of current government and related frameworks for higher education quality, standards and qualifications, including the Australian Qualifications Framework, TEQSA Act 2011 and HESF;
* Knowledge of university governance, management and operations (or a similarly regulated environment) and the ability to appreciate the relationships between legislation, plans, policies, decisions and activities;
* The ability to interpret legislation, regulations, policies and other information and communicate complex regulatory requirements to diverse stakeholders;
* Capability to research, identify, analyse and adapt best practice approaches to quality improvement and assurance activities.
