This role supports culinary operations across restaurant, bar, room service and banquets, with a focus on hygienic standards and consistent quality.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and produce high quality food, according to standard recipes.
* Work closely with the Front of House team to deliver the guest experience, including serving meals.
* Be flexible in catering for the restaurant as it serves a full buffet breakfast and all‑day in‑room dining, with a bespoke à la carte dinner; ensure conference guests receive high quality meals.
* Champion the identification and reporting of hazards, evaluate risks, and participate in the design and implementation of hazard control measures.
* Demonstrate awareness of Crisis Management, HACCP & WH&S policies and procedures; maintain accurate HACCP records.
* Support the team in delivering the highest level of guest satisfaction.
* Receive goods deliveries and maintain accuracy of invoices for accounting purposes.
* Perform ad hoc duties as required by business demands.
What we need from you
* 6-12 months experience in a commercial kitchen with a passion for culinary arts.
* Qualifications in Commercial Cookery/Culinary Arts from a registered training provider.
* Be a friendly face and willing to help colleagues and guests.
* Literate with good reading, writing and basic maths skills.
* Team player with a collaborative approach to work.
* Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and effective time management.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload.
* Look smart—wear your uniform with pride and adhere to personal grooming and hygiene standards.
* Flexibility to work a 7 day rotating roster, including overnight, weekend and public holiday shifts.
* You must meet the legal requirements to work in Australia.
