We are seeking an Underground Surveyor to join our team at Tomingley Gold Operations. This role is ideal for an experienced Surveyor, eager to contribute to a growing operation with a strong safety culture. We are a residential mine offering the successful applicant the opportunity to be home with their family every night.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will work a 7/7 dayshift only roster. The primary focus of this role is to implement and maintain underground mine survey activities.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
1. Pickups of development and pickups of stopes (using drone or wireless CMS)
2. Stockpile pickups for reporting
3. Prism monitoring
4. Providing the underground team with accurate information to prepare weekly and monthly plans
5. Actively participating with the underground mining team to develop daily and weekly production plans and ensuring these plans are implemented and completed
About You:
* Diploma in Surveying or Extensive Survey experience
* Experience in Underground surveying desirable but not essential
* Previous experience with Deswik (mine planning software) highly regarded but not essential

About Us:
Tomingley Gold Mine, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated near the village of Tomingley, 50 km south of Dubbo in Central New South Wales. We have recently celebrated over 10 years of operation. Our current operation runs an underground mine, and a 1.2Mtpa processing plant that produces gold bullion on-site. The mine's workforce consists of over 260 permanent employees in various roles including professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.
A significant development for the Tomingley Gold Mine is the expansion approval for both open-cut and underground mines, 3 km south of the existing deposits. This expansion extends the mine life beyond 2031.
The expansion and the Dubbo region offer a promising environment for those interested in living and working in a dynamic, regional area. Dubbo provides numerous services & amenities, excellent schooling, and transportation connections to major cities.
