What You'll be Doing
Pastoral Care is where people actively engage in friendship with others to help them in their life's journey. This role involves building trusted and meaningful relationships with our seniors, journeying alongside them to support their participation and wellbeing through pastoral and spiritual engagement.
Why This Matters
At Bethanie we see Pastoral Care as a vitally important service that our skilled volunteers assist the Chaplaincy team to provide. The wellbeing of our customers is very important to us. As such, we aim to provide true person-centred care meeting the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of all our customers.
The Best Bit?
A Pastoral Care volunteer offers a friendship that is intentionally focusing on emotional support and spiritual care. Through regular ongoing visits, you will establish wonderful new friendships with residents, as well as the staff and volunteer team. You will be guided in your role by the site's Therapy Team with ongoing support from our Volunteer Services Team.
