Role and Responsibilities
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual who has the desire to embark on a career in IT with a reputable and expanding IT Managed Service Provider. The Level 1 Service Desk Technician is responsible for provisioning PCs and provides 1st Level PC, network and server support to our external clients.
To succeed, you will need to possess good people skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and fellow team members. You should be passionate about providing superior customer service, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Time management and the ability to prioritise workloads is essential. You will exhibit initiative, think "outside the box" and strive to achieve quality results. Required Qualifications
* General interest in IT
* Knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft range of operating systems
* Basic network troubleshooting skills
* TAFE Certificate or MCSA or equivalent
* Knowledge of peripherals and computer hardware
Advantageous (not required)
* Ability to build and configure a Desktop PC from the ground up
* The ability to record and log all calls, contributing to IT documentation and continual improvement of procedures
* Driver's license is required for this job
