The Role
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will collaborate directly with the owner to propel an established operation into its next phase of growth.
Your primary focus will be on maximising efficiencies and productivity across our dedicated breeding and fattening properties. This involves the hands-on management of approximately 3,500 composite ewes and lambs, alongside a further 3,500 merino ewes and their progeny.
You will be instrumental in executing our strategic 18-month plan to fully transition the properties into specialised breeding and fattening units. Key responsibilities include the daily oversight of yearly stock and crop management, leading the overall breeding program, coordinating strategically with the other property manager on fattening initiatives, and rigorously managing KPI data to track performance.
Additionally, you will oversee the critical maintenance of all infrastructure, including water systems, fencing, and roads, alongside proactive weed control and ensuring all company vehicles and essential plant (such as pumps and tractors) are properly maintained.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a highly experienced Farm Manager who embodies a curious and kind approach and is ready to step into a significant leadership role with a background that demonstrates:
* Holds a driver's license, a HC truck license, and a gun license.
* Proficient in Agriwebb for daily reporting (livestock numbers/jobs completed/issues) and Xero for leave/overtime reporting.
* Focused on maintaining company equipment, maximising production cost-effectively, and fostering engagement with young people in Ag.
* Experienced in strategic livestock flow management, breeding program management, and implementing spraying/planting/harvest programs.
* Committed to following safe work practices and maintaining complete, accurate records of property operations.
