Account Receivable Leadership Role
A key position for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Account Receivable professional in the Healthcare industry on the Lower North Shore. This role will be overseeing a large team of staff and reporting into the Head of Shared Services, where you will be responsible for leading the Account Receivable function and driving continuous improvement across the function as well as play a crucial part in an upcoming system integration.
Main Responsibilities
* Team Management: Manage a large team of Collections and Billings Officers daily, providing mentorship and guidance for them to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
* Customer Escalations: Resolve escalations related to internal and external customer account enquiries in an empathetic yet effective manner.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports on accounts receivable status, including aging summaries and collections performance.
* Banking/Allocation: Oversee the banking/allocation function to ensure payments are receipted and allocated correctly.
* Process Improvement: Review Accounts Receivable function; assist in driving automation & continuous improvement across the function.
* System Implementation: Play a key role in system implementation and planning for the AR function, creating SOPs, process maps.
* Liaison: Liaise with external and government agencies regarding claims.
Key Requirements
* Leadership Experience: Ideally at least 5 years experience leading an AR function and managing large teams of staff. Healthcare industry experience would be an advantage.
* Technical Skills: High level of technical system skills, working with large ERPs (SAP, Oracle, D365 preferred) as well as advanced level of Microsoft Excel skills.
* Finance Transformation: Previous experience working in finance transformation and change management environments; an ability to identify opportunities for process efficiency and execute accordingly.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders, an ability to manage up & down.
